Food Outreach
The Corporation for Global Community Development provides oversight for the Jackson Revival Center Food Outreach located at 1616 Robinson Street which currently serves some 1,300 Hinds County households per month benefitting 3,900 individuals per month (as of 2019). Over 1/2 million pounds of food were distributed in Hinds County during 2019 alone. This outreach is the largest of its kind in the state of Mississippi.
In response to needs arising from the COVID-19 pandemic, the Food Outreach has served 1,436 households* over a 15-day period in April of 2020 benefitting 4,308 individuals.

Little Ambassadors
Little Ambassadors is a safe place and learning center for children grades K-6, sponsored by Corporation for Global Community Development. It reaches out to promote social, emotional, physical, and spiritual development at the appropriate age levels.
Light The Night
Light the Night is an annual community night sponsored by Corporation for Global Community Development, previously held at the north campus in West Jackson, and now held at the south campus in South Jackson. CGCD is in partnership with other corporate sponsors that promote community pride, crime prevention awareness, and health & financial literacy information, as well as an annual blood drive, amongst many other enjoyable activities for the community event.
School Supply Give Away
CGCD sponsors a school supply give away each year for children who attend the following schools within the Jackson Public School District: George Elementary, Isable Elementary, Davis Magnet, Key Elementary, Casey Elementary, and Spann Elementary.
Senior Housing
Our newest programming is our congregate senior housing. We recently purchased an eight unit staff housing facility in South Jackson that is in need of renovations. CGCD desire is to offer an affordable, independent living facility for the elderly age 62 and older that can still get around but need a nurturing atmosphere where meals are prepared, and needs met on a daily basis. CGCD will offer health and wellness programs and other activities that will enhance the tenant’s daily life and well-being. Each unit consists of a sleeping area, grooming area, and a full bathroom. There is a community common area whereby three meals a day will be prepared and served and where we will host some of the onsite activities.
Housing and Financial Literacy Seminars
We have provided and do provide Housing Seminars for prospective home buyers as well as financial literacy seminars for all citizens of Hinds County.
Good Samaritan Weekend
We sponsor Good Samaritan Weekend as a organized event, to provide members of the community who are needy with clothing that has been donated by members.
Camp 360
Camp 360 is a faith based summer youth camp for boys and girls ages 5-16. Campers participate in a variety of fun and educational activities focused on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) as well as financial literacy, nutrition, leadership, teamwork, and stewardship.
Free Annual Tax Preparation Assistance
We provide annual free-tax preparation assistance in partnership with the United Way to all Hinds County Residents that earn at or below the median income.
Scholarship Fund
The Raymond O. Biard Memorial Scholarship Fund, named after the late founder and pastor of Jackson Revival Center Church, provides up to three $1,500 scholarships each year to graduating high school seniors from LMI households who are entering college to help purchase laptops, printers, books and other items needed for dorm rooms to ensure academic success.
Additional Services
The Corporation for Global Community Development now provides Emergency Housing/Shelter resources for battered women and children. CGCD also provides rehabilitation resources for owner occupied special needs housing and homeless prevention and rehousing assistance as funds are available.
